JAKARTA, Indonesia (AP) — Dozens of conservative Muslims marched in Indonesia’s capital on Monday to protests Israel’s first-ever participation in the FIFA World Cup Under-20 in Indonesia. The world’s most populous Muslim-majority nation is hosting the U-20 World Cup from May 20 to June 11 in Indonesia’s six major cities. A total of 24 countries from five continents are participating, including Israel, after a two-year delay because of the COVID-19 pandemic. As the host country, Indonesia is automatically qualified for the tournament.Although Indonesia does not have formal diplomatic relations with Israel and is a strong supporter of the Palestinians, officials say the government will not prevent Israel from taking part in the tournament. Staffers of the Russian presidential administration have until the end of March to replace their iPhones with smartphones of other brands considered less susceptible to hacking and espionage, Russian news outlet Kommersant reported  Monday.Sergei Kiriyenko, first deputy chief of staff of the presidential administration, told officials during a Kremlin-organized seminar in March to dispose of the American smartphone by April 1 due to security concerns. Officials of regional political blocs are expected to receive similar recommendations. Exhibit ‘A’ Brewing Company in Framingham hosted a polar plunge Sunday to raise money for Special Olympics teams throughout Massachusetts.The event raises money to help more than 14,000 Special Olympics athletes get the tools they need to train and compete in the sports they love. Organizers and athletes say support from the community goes a long way.“At the end of the day, we’re all coming together for one reason, and that’s the Mission of Special Olympics,” said Mary Beth McMahon President and CEO of Special Olympics Massachusetts. “To make sure our athletes are included on the fields and courts, as well as the classrooms and [hallways] and the communities.” The organization says polar plunge events across the state have raised a record $750,000 this year.

Two 23-year-olds killed in Holliston rollover crash

Two 23-year-olds were killed in a single-car rollover crash in Holliston Saturday night, according to police. Officers responded to the area of 717 Highland Street just before 10 p.m. for a report of a crash. Police say Holliston resident Joshua Taylor and Connecticut resident Haley Gens were found dead at the scene. Police say a preliminary investigation indicates the car was traveling southbound on Highland Street at a high rate of speed when it rolled over and hit a tree. State police and the Middlesex County DA’s Office are investigating. No further information has been released.
