Hialeah Police are responding to a barricaded subject that may be experiencing a mental crisis. Authorities arrived at the scene at the Alture Westland complex, located at 1950 W. 49th St., Tuesday afternoon. 7Skyforce hovered over the scene as officers surrounded the area. According to preliminary information from officials, the subject is home alone. Hialeah’s SWAT team and Crisis Negotiation Team are currently on the scene in an effort to make contact with the individual. Details remain limited at this time, and the situation is ongoing. A 41-year-old man accused of shooting a bride and bishop during a wedding in Pelham, NH back in 2019 was found guilty on most all of the charges he faced.A week after the trial of Dale Holloway got underway, a jury found the suspect guilty of six of the seven charges filed against him.Holloway, who represented himself during the trial, had been accused of opening fire inside the New England Pentecostal Church. He also allegedly struck the groom in the head during the incident, and faced charges that included attempted murder, convicted felon in possession of a firearm, second-degree assault and simple assault.All victims survived the assault, with both the bride and bishop giving testimony during the trial four years later.Prosecutors said Holloway opened fire because, days earlier, the groom’s son was charged with murdering Holloway’s stepdad.On Tuesday, the jury returned its verdict, finding Holloway guilty of nearly all charges except one count of attempted murder with regards to...

(CNN) — A 69-year-old Jewish man died after suffering a head injury Sunday following an “interaction” with a pro-Palestinian demonstrator during dueling rallies in Southern California, the Ventura County Sheriff said Tuesday, adding authorities had not ruled out the possibility of a hate crime.The death of the man, identified by law enforcement as Paul Kessler, has been ruled a homicide, authorities said. Officials believe Revere apartment building fire was intentionally set

Investigators now believe a two-alarm fire in a Revere apartment building over the weekend was intentionally set, state and local officials said Tuesday.The fire drew emergency crews to the scene on Park Avenue shortly before 6 p.m. Sunday. Two people were ultimately rescued and taken to a hospital, according to a joint statement from Revere’s fire chief, the city’s police chief and the state fire marshal. Officials said the fire displaced dozens of other people.Images on Sunday showed firefighters reaching one woman and guiding her to safety during their fire response. WASHINGTON (AP) — A man with a gun was arrested in a park near the U.S. Capitol on Tuesday, police said.The man was in the park outside Senate office buildings and across from Washington’s Union Station when he was arrested, the U.S. Capitol Police said in a statement posted online.Roads in the area were closed for about two hours as officers searched the area and the man’s belongings.Officers said they did not believe there was an ongoing threat.Carrying firearms in public is prohibited in Washington as well as on U.S. Capitol grounds.
